Do
I have the proper automobile insurance?
By law, to
be driven, a vehicle has to be insured for public liability and
property damage (P.L. & P.D.), accident benefits and the uninsured
motorist. However, there are additional coverages that can be
added to the above to taylor a policy to your specific needs.
Some factors
to consider are:
- Do I want
my vehicle paid for if I am at fault for an accident?
- Do I want
to be insured against fire, theft, vandalism and flying objects?
- Do I want
a rental vehicle if I make a claim on my policy?
- Do I have
waiver of depreciation on my new vehicle?
- Do I carry
paying passengers?
- Do I want
my family's injuries insured if we are in an accident with someone
with who doesn't have enough insurance?
- Do I want
the insurance paid on a rental vehicle if I go on a trip?
- Who drives
the vehicle?
- Is the
vehicle driven to and from work?
- Do I drive
government owned vehicles?
